How old is too old?

How old do you think is when you are leaving marriage a bit too late?

Do you think it differs between men and women? If yes, why?

people can marry any age.. but its good to marry young.. then you can make many babies

its better to get married early cause then it settles you down if your a bloke, but end of the day age is just a number.

yeah true..

but so many people have this view if you're a woman and you're leaving it late - as in 26+ you'll never find anyone! it's too late!

In my opinion.. i think it's easier for men to find someone regardless of their age.. They don't have to worry whether they are too old to have kids, whether they need to change career etc.. because nothing changes for you guys!

And young guys who are ready to settle are very hard to come across as they are too busy having the time of their lives or too immature! Lol

Age is just a number, right? So, what does it matter? But, then again, it matters most to our parents. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's peer pressure and what most folks fail to realize is, is that people are making something of themselves before they even begin to think about settling down.

Men have it just as bad as the women do, Moonie. It's not all high and sundry for us. Men need to have a good job, a good education and the money status before they even get a single glance! If that's not difficult, I wonder what is.

Enlighten us.

Well not many people have reached that age of enlightenment where age is just a number. I'm not saying I agree with it.. I'm just highlighting it exists! When I tell people how I myself want to settle in my career and earn a few bob before I settle down and that would probably be by the time I hit 27/28 they look at me like I'm some kind of freak, saying I'm never going to find a guy by then??

Or if I tell them, how about I get married while I'm studying? Is that a problem? Again I get the "you freak" look.

And yeah men probably do have it as bad, but many women are wanting to make something of themselves too, and you don't often meet men who are willing to marry a chick who wants to continue studying whilst being married or earn a living. We have to pop out your babies, we have to know how to cook and cook well, and look after a household as well as all the family members in the household, which isn't a problem for most, and then there's that notion of parents wanting younger brides, save from sin, sunnath etc..

I still believe we have that "sell by date" label over our heads.

Anyway the issue wasn't really about how much women get it tougher.. It was merely highlighting that a man can easily settle and find a partner when they are in their 30's compared to that of a woman in her 30's.

I don't think marriage should intervene with education anyway.. What's wrong with being married while you are studying? Men should be encouraging and support their wife!
